A40 PARK AND RIDE OXFORD

An award-winning project showcasing our commitment to quality

WHAT WE DID

We provided bulk excavation for an 850-space 8 hectare park and ride facility. Our approach to material handling on site used an innovative grid technique which transformed delivery and is now used on all our earthworks projects.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

  • Site clearance
  • Cut and fill operations
  • Soil modification
  • Materials processing and disposal
  • Construction of an attenuation pond

Key Achievements

Driving efficiency: We built 3D models from the designer’s 2D information. Incorporated into our machines’ telematics, these models promoted safer, faster, more efficient working.

Innovative and quality focused: This project involved significant materials planning and management. To manage this and provide assurance, we spearheaded a new grid system. Aligned with our modelling, testing and tracking protocols this meant we knew where every section of soil came from, where it went to
and if/how it was modified.

Continuous assurance: We regularly inspected and verified all materials and workmanship, supplying
reports and certificates to the client.
