MJ Church supports the Royal International Air Tattoo

MJ Church is proud to share the latest milestone in our long-standing partnership with the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT), one of the world’s largest aviation events. For the 13th consecutive year, we have delivered a full waste management service that not only keeps the site clean and safe but also drives measurable sustainability gains.

In the latest RIAT Sustainability Column, our Group Head of HSE, Ben Hodsoll, outlined how our collaborative approach is reducing environmental impact. From RIAT23 to RIAT24, we achieved a 21% reduction in total waste, maintained a zero waste to landfill record, and introduced the event’s first electric vehicle. In 2024 alone, our dedicated on-site team of 25 managed 117 tonnes of waste, improved recycling rates, and put electric dust carts into action throughout the six-week event period.

In RIAT 2025, we introduced our second electric vehicle to continue building on all of our previous achievements, creating greater efficiencies and carbon reductions.

Our work at RIAT is more than operational, it reflects our company-wide commitment to Ability, Delivery, and Integrity, and to creating a cleaner, lower-carbon future for the communities and events we support.

We’d like to thank our team for their dedication, as well as our partners at RIAT for sharing our sustainability vision.
