Caspian Networks operates 12 McDonald’s restaurants across Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire, employing more than 1400 staff.

43% reduction in collection-related CO2

In line with McDonald’s wider commitment to reduce emissions relating to their restaurants by 36% by 2030, we have worked closely with Caspian Networks to develop and introduce a Mixed Recycling System which successfully segregates paper, plastics and cardboard. This, along with our food waste collection service, means that overall collections from these 12 sites have reduced by 43% annually.

Food Waste Segregation

In 2020, we introduced our food caddy collection service which makes it easy for our clients to segregate their food waste, removing it from their general waste bins. This not only allows us to convert food waste into energy, but it also reduces the client cost because general waste collections are more expensive per tonne.
