The Role

  • Using a clamshell grab to “self” load
  • Transport materials to and from various locations within our region
  • To always be able to legally undertake your driving duties
  • To ensure your vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
  • To maintain communication with the Operations office regarding progress of daily work.
  • To complete all relevant paperwork correctly.
  • To report any incidents and accidents immediately to the operations Team.
  • To ensure legal requirements for your hours and working time regulations are complied with
  • To always ensure that work is carried out in a responsible and safe manner with no detriment to the Company or its Customers

Who You Are

  • A valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence (Class 1 / C+E also welcome)
  • Clamshell loader qualified (CPCS or NPORS)
  • Clamshell experience
  • Driver CPC and Digi Tachograph card
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude with good customer service skills
  • Someone reliable, organised, and capable of working using their own initiative.
  • Experience of the waste management or construction industry desirable
  • Attention to detail
