WASTE SOLUTIONS

Efficient waste management is intrinsic to what we do at MJ Church, from providing a skip and waste collection service to domestic customers through to the management of difficult waste streams for major infrastructure and construction projects. We pride ourselves on diverting almost all of the waste we process from landfill and strive to find new and alternative means of recycling, reusing and reducing waste. Much of our waste is now sent to 'waste to energy' facilities across the South West

We operate waste disposal sites ranging from exempt environmental schemes accepting inert materials to our six transfer stations, processing construction and demolition waste, general commercial and industrial waste. In addition, our experienced staff are able to offer bespoke waste management solutions for complex sites ensuring compliant waste streams and hazardous waste  and non-hazardous waste disposal.

We are proud to have pioneered one of the world’s first all-electric waste collection vehicles, which is compatible for use in the Clean Air Zones we will see being rolled out in urban and suburban centres across the country.

By being CAZ compliant the zero emissions, silent operation truck maintains constant access for customers without incurring the costs and fines levied at non-compliant vehicles.

MJ Church produces an extensive range of recycled aggregates and soils offering a cost effective alternative against using primary materials.

Inert waste material such as hardcore, asphalt, concrete and soils removed from construction and demolition sites is selectively sorted, screened and crushed using our own crushing and screening equipment to produce various quality recycled products for re-use within the construction industry.

To ensure the quality of our recycled products we selectively sort our source material and rigorously test our finished products in our own materials testing laboratory to achieve the highest standards.

We can supply a broad range:

  • Crushed concrete – Recycled Type 1 Graded sub-base
  • 40mm & 75mm Down Recycled Aggregate (6F1 & 6F2 Fill Material)
  • 40mm & 75mm Single size Recycled Aggregate (Drainage material)
  • 10mm – 20mm Single size Recycled Aggregate (Pipe Bedding)
  • Recycled Crushed Aggregate Fines (Dust)
  • Road Plainings and Crushed Asphalt
  • Random Cotswold Walling Stone

Through our team set-up specifically to deal with difficult waste streams, we offer a recycling or recovery solution for by-products which may otherwise be destined for landfill. With considerable in-house technical expertise, we establish if re-use applications are a viable alternative for these materials and work closely with our clients to deliver the best fit solution for them and the environment.

From the moment MJ Church won the tender, the company showed true professionalism and a fantastic attitude in delivering a highly political scheme, with minimal fuss. Overall, I would happily recommend MJ Church as a contractor, as well as any of the staff who directly worked on the scheme.

I just wished to offer my thanks and congratulations to MJC for an excellent job in creating the new car park, we are all delighted with the finished product. I’m happy to report that there always spare spaces so it seems to have done its job, de-stressing the patient journey.

I would like to thank MJC for all their efforts over the last 7 months. I’ve been extremely impressed by the professional attitude of all your employees and the excellent quality of their work.

We have exceeded expectations and have set a very high standard of delivering challenging Rail Civil Engineering Projects. We thank all those involved in delivering the works safely, to programme and to a very high quality. Although the 16-day period was for those on point very tiring and challenging, I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed working so much with such a Great team!
