MJ Church are recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to join our team. Based at Star Farm on the outskirts of Chippenham, this is a full-time and permanent position to start as soon as possible.

In this role, you will report directly to the Transport Manager and work to oversee and plan for a fleet of 20-25 vehicles.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 0800 – 1800.

Daily duties will include;

  • Working with a traffic management system to route a fleet of tipper vehicles;
  • Communicating effectively with the drivers and manage their progress throughout the day;
  • Liaise with our customers and internal departments to take orders for delivery/collection;
  • Processing daily paperwork and timesheets for the drivers within the Transport department;
  • Adhoc admin duties.

Skills & Experience Required;

  • A good local knowledge of the area is essential for planning efficient routes;
  • Excellent planning skills, applying changes at short notice as required;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach at all times;
  • A good understanding of compliance;
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work extremely well under pressure;
  • Experience of working within a busy transport office is preferred;
  • Microsoft Office experience essential.
