This policy is designed to be simple, and clear to understand without the usual jargon included – within the document you will find out what information we collect, how we use it and what your rights and  choices are relating to your personal data.

MJ Church is based within the United Kingdom, and as such is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a Data Controller under the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy will be updated to reflect any changing terminology and requirements as the regulation comes into effect

Personal data
Personal data is provided to us via the following avenues;

Registration for our newsletter
As part of the registration process you will provide us with personal data so that we can create a record for you and send you marketing material in line with the avenues that you have provided consent for.

Registration of interest / contact forms
To register your interest, you will provide your contact details for the purpose of contacting. Once the contact has been made, we will delete your email address immediately.

Opening of trade accounts
When a trade account is required we will require a limited amount of personal data to open an account – in addition to this, credit checks must be carried out too and insurance is taken out against the account. Our third parties will process your information securely and in line with our policies and requirements.

Purchasing of services online
When you purchase services online, for example through our skiphire website, we will require your details to process your transaction. In addition to this, you will be redirected to our secure and PCI compliant payment provider, SagePay where your online transaction will be processed.

Sensitive Personal Data
Following an assessment of the website and capturing process, we can confirm that we do not knowingly capture data deemed as ‘personally
sensitive’ as defined in the GDPR.

Children’s Personal Data
This website, and any services available from this website, are not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are a child using this website, parental consent must be obtained.

If your child has used this website without parental consent, please contact for rectification.

Your rights as a data subject
As per the Data Protection Act and refined by the General Data Protection Regulation, you have multiple rights which can be exercised.
This includes;
- requesting a copy of your personal data that we hold
- updating the personal data that we hold in order to keep your data accurate
- the ability to provide your data in a commonly used format for transfer elsewhere
- updating your consent and objecting to direct marketing and;
- requesting that your data is erased (we will always do this unless we have a valid reason. If your data cannot be deleted, we will provide you with the justification.)
