Emma Benson, MJ Church Health and Safety Administrator, has been awarded Apprentice of the Year at the Chippenham Business Awards.

The Apprentice of the Year award recognises an individual who has had a positive impact on the organisation they work for, as well as showing strong evidence of personal self-development and progress. The 12 judges were also looking for an apprentice who can demonstrate a clear passion for their chosen career and has a plan for future career development. This award is entered through a third party nomination and supported by employer references.

Emma’s nomination by Wiltshire College, supported by MJ Church references, shone through with the approach shown by her for supporting the CSCS training and testing programme at Star Farm as well as taking on site audits, safety meetings and events. Emma is studying for a Business and Professional Administration Level 4 qualification with Wiltshire College in addition to increasing her Health & Safety knowledge and qualifications through various courses and on the job training. The judges commented, “It’s clear Emma has become a valued member of the Health & Safety team, we are very impressed by her commitment and level-headed approach in such a challenging and safety critical industry.”

Congratulations Emma, Well Done!
