Tadpole GardenVillage, Crest Nicholson, Swindon

Tadpole Garden Village is a new residential village development to the north of Swindon for national house builders Crest Nicholson. The development allows for 1,700 residential units, a new primary school and local amenities. MJ Church were employed as main contractor to undertake the site preparation and infrastructure works for the initial phases.

Car Park 2

North Car Park, RUH, Bath

The construction of a 300 space car park under main contract, NEC Contract, included earthworks and major traffic and pedestrian management in a live hospital environment, as part of a £100m development on the 52 acres site in Bath

M4 Managed Motorway

M4/M5 Managed Motorway Scheme

For Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd

£5million – Conversion of the M4/M5 motorways around the Almondsbury Interchange into a managed motorway to allow monitoring and management of traffic and use of hard shoulder at peak times. Works included site clearance, earthworks, construction of emergency refuge areas, linear drainage kerbs, various temporary works, thrust pits and off-site disposal.

M5 Junction 21

For: North Somerset Council

Value £1.2million – Widening of the existing motorway in order to increase traffic flow. Works include earthworks, drainage, ducting and reinforced structures.


Walpole Landfill Site

For: Viridor Waste Management

Value £600,000 – Temporary and permanent capping to landfill cells.

Swindon to Kemble Re-doubling

For: Morgan Sindall/Colas Joint Venture

Value up to £1million – We are delighted to be involved with Morgan Sindall / Colas on the scheme to upgrade the railway route and infrastructure between Swindon and Gloucester via Kemble and Stroud.  At present we have completed one site at Kemble Wick which involved an embankment re-grade and are currently half away through stabilising the embankment at Galton Way in Swindon.  We are looking forward to working closely with Morgan Sindall on the remaining 9 schemes between Swindon and Gloucester.
